We respond to the fact that there is an increasing demand for competent and hands-on orientated presentation of archaeological subjects and a broad spectrum of international clients are accustomed to engage our services.
Our facilities follow the latest developments in archaeological research, we are working together with and for numerous scientific institutions and we stand for authenticity and reliability, but also for creativity and imagination.

OUR DIDACTIC PROGRAM:

DEMONSTRATIONS
are given without participation of visitors and contain a theoretical presentation of prehistoric objects and techniques and an ensuing practical demonstration, e.g.

ARCHERY
with copies of Mesolithic and Neolithic bows and arrows from Northern Europe.

SPEARTHROWING
with ideal reconstructions of spear-throwers from the European Upper Palaeolithic (atlatl in S-America, woomera in Australia).

WOODWORKING
with copies of prehistoric hatches and axes, working with sinew and natural glues like resins or birch tar.

WORKING WITH BONE AND ANTLER
e.g. "from shed antler to the harpoon", sewing needles, projectiles etc.

FLINTKNAPPING
hand axes, blades and arrowheads made of flint, ground axes etc.

FIRE MAKING
with several methods.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
bone flutes, bull roarers and more.

JEWELLRY AND ARTS
from ivory, horn, teeth, bone, shells and jet

CLOTHING
from leather, fur, raffia and reeds, textile techniques

BUTCHERING (DISSASSEMBLING) GAME
with flint tools shows the respectful butchering of quarry and complete utilization of the carcass as practiced in the Stone Age. Game butchering must be booked at least three months in advance and may not be possible during certain close hunting seasons.

WORKSHOPS
take place with participation of visitors, making it easy to arrange interesting and lively events, workshops and exhibitions in museums, holiday programs and project days in schools

SPECIAL SERVICE

Archaeo-Technik does not only have many years of experience with prehistoric techniques, but also an extensive general equipment of Stone Age clothes and tools, weapons and implements. Therefore we are often engaged by TV or movie producers for professional consulting and scenic background acting.

We also provide advice in the planning of exhibitions from their design up to their presentation, including documentation using several media as well as graphics and illustrations.
